The Problem with Living with Bad Indoor Air Quality
There is a common misconception that air pollution can only affect a person if they are exposed to contaminants over a long period of time. Unfortunately, that is not true; even mild exposure to air contaminants in your home can negatively affect your health. It is important that you maintain clean air quality in your home in order to remain as healthy as possible.
Say you notice a musty odor when you return from vacation. You have looked everywhere for the source, but you can’t find anything unusual. You start to notice you feel different in certain rooms, even to the point that you hate being in some of them.
Why Call BIOSWEEP® for Indoor Air Quality?
Our proven testing methods can get you answers to your indoor air questions. We partner with a state-of-the-art lab to analyze your indoor air and find the impurities that are making you suffer.
Airborne mold testing gives us an idea of what strains of mold might be present in the environment and how we can find and eliminate them. These tests can determine the types of spores in the air and their prevalence. We also conduct surface testing to find the particulates that have fallen from the air onto surfaces. Swabs and tape lifts collect particles that we can then send off to the lab for further analysis.
Microbial Volatile Organic Compound (MVOC) tests are another common service.
We use a Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) test to find out if things like your paint or building products are making you sick. Some dangerous gasses can evaporate out of common materials in your home, and we use lab testing to find them so we can build the best plan of action.
Also, if needed, formaldehyde tests are available. Formaldehyde evaporates at just -2 Fahrenheit, so it can leach into any home environment if it’s present on building materials or paints.
The BIOSWEEP® of Alabama 3-Step Process
In order to ensure that all of our clients receive the same high-level quality of care, we employ a consistent 3-step process. While we recognize that your home’s individual problems require unique solutions, this process will allow us to come up with an efficient solution.
